By offloading the user interface and threat simulation to the Solflare software wallet, the device reduces the bill of materials enough to launch at a $49 price point—a fraction of the $150 industry standard. This form factor eliminates the mechanical failure points of buttons and batteries, allowing Solflare to offer a 25-year warranty on the device.

Strategically, this move represents a significant pivot toward vertical integration within the Solana ecosystem.
